Enhanced offer as Training Grant scheme launches

Ideal Heating has welcomed news that the Government’s Heat Training Grant scheme is now open and announced an enhanced offer to installers.

Ideal Heating has been named as a training provider for the scheme. It means installers who choose to complete one of Ideal Heating’s best-in-class heat pump training courses can benefit from £500 towards the cost.

In addition, Ideal Heating has now announced an additional one day of free training, as well as a free Water Regulations qualification, to complement the Government-supported scheme.

The Heat Training Grant is aimed to support 10,000 installers over the next two years to gain the skills and expertise needed to supply heat pumps to customers.

Grants are available to both self-employed installers and those working for a business with 250 employees or less.

Ideal Heating training director Andrew Johnson said: “The launch of the Heat Training Grant scheme is great news for installers and for the heating industry as a whole.

“We’re pleased to have been named as an accredited training provider for the scheme, so installers who choose us for their training can benefit from financial support to help cover the cost of the course.

“We know the cost of training is an additional burden for many installers, particularly those who are self-employed.

“With the ambitious targets set by Government for heat pump installations, we welcome this scheme, which will incentivise installers to upskill and become the low carbon engineers of the future.”

Ideal Heating’s Expert Academy is experienced in delivering BPEC’s Award in Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Systems, which is included within the Heat Training Grant scheme.
