BlueScience UV-c disinfection technology is a globally distributed solution to provide an easy retrofit system for all existing Mini Split air-conditioning equipment to treat and protect the coil surface and Airflow, by constant disinfection, every time it passes through the unit.
BlueScience utilises the disinfectant properties of UV-c light to convert an air-conditioning unit into a powerful air purifier. Warm and contaminated air is pulled in through the top of the unit, where it is then cooled via the unit’s cooling coil. BlueScience immerses the air around the cooling coil in UV-c light, sanitising it during the process. The cool air is then dispensed by the air-conditioning unit free of virus, bacteria, moulds, and odours.
UV-C disinfection is a proven technology used in the food processing and water industries. Through germicidal irradiation, the UV-C light attacks the DNA/DNR of micro-organisms, killing 99.9% and rendering bacteria and viruses harmless and unable to reproduce or spread.
The Standard kit, which includes a UV LED driver and 700mm UV-C LED strip, offers several possible locations for installation due to its compact size. Additionally, the BlueScience Pro-Kit is a quick and easy way to simply enhance the UV-c dosage from an existing BlueScience LED Driver, making it perfect to protect the air in larger FCU’s or populated areas.
BlueScience allows quick and clean installation into all existing Mini Split air-conditioning equipment, requiring an install time of less than 10 minutes per unit.
