“Precision at its Finest: Midland Regional Printers Upgrades with Cutting-Edge Die-Cutting Technology!”

Midland Regional Printers are pleased to announce the upcoming installation of their first blanking and die cutting machine, the state-of-the-art Sanwa 1060 S.C.B. Axia. This new addition will enhance the die cutting capacity of the Nottingham-based packaging manufacturer, within their packaging division, and will work in conjunction with their existing Sanwa, Heidelberg easy matrix and platen die cutters.

Catherine Tew, Marketing Director at Midland Regional Printers, stated that “This latest investment marks a significant moment in terms of growth for Midland Regional Printers. We have been tirelessly working with brands to redesign their plastic packaging into cardboard due to the consumer appetite to reduce single use plastics.”

The Axia is specifically designed to die-cut and blank solid and corrugated boards with a running speed of 8,000 sheets per hour. It boasts edge-to-edge registration accuracy and automatic feeding, providing versatility, productivity, and efficiency.

Matt Seaford, Sales Director, commented that “This latest investment will enable improved lead times for our existing clients, due to the blanking, and open us up to new markets with improved efficiencies. This is ideal for our customers moving their packaging back from the Far East.”

Established in 1969, Midland Regional Printers manufacture printed folded cartons, corrugated boxes and self-adhesive labels for a diverse range of sectors, including automotive, pets, cosmetics and healthcare, and hold the FSC accreditation.
